Together for a New Africa at a Glance

Get to know more about what is the Project Together for a New Africa from Sophia University Students who are among the protagonists of the project. Sophia University students have played a key role so far in making the project a success.

In addition, Plans and preparations are at the last stage for the Second part of the leadership training on the project Together for a New Africa. The training is scheduled to take place from December 28th 2019 to 5th January 2020 at Mariapolis Pierro Located in Juja, bringing together students who participated in the first part.


The whole leadership training is divided into three parts. Students taking part in the training are drawn from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and the Democratic republic of Congo. The theme of the second course is “IDENTITY AND LEADERSHIP” The training aims at empowering and equipping young people in Africa and enable them to face the challenges of the continent and mold them to be active Global citizens and leaders of the “Future Africa”. In this way, they could contribute extensively in strengthening the civil society and politics, instilling in them the culture of universal fraternity in conformity with the mission of UNESCO, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, and the United Nations sustainable Development Goals.
